Maria & Matt
A Greek-English wedding is not possible without hats, coloured socks and speeches, which is why Maria and Matt's wedding had it all. The day started with the couple's preparations, where Maria's friends had gathered early at her parents home. Her two nieces gave me interesting pictures, while Maria was left in Elissavet hands for the bridal make-up and hairstyle. One floor down was Matt flanked by his best man and brother-in-law. Jokes, whiskey and cigars were not missing from the preparation, while at the end Matt also gave his unique gifts to the best man. For many guests it was their first visit to Greece so they wanted to experience it 100%. The date was given at the Vlatadon Monastery in the Upper Town of Thessaloniki, where most people did not miss the opportunity to take a summer selfie with the city in the background. The wedding reception took place in the wonderful space of the Planetarium barestau and Nikos Chatziioannidis was on the decks to set the pace and fun for the attendees. The speeches, as I pointed out at the beginning, could not be missing, so after the first dances, the couple and the best man took the floor to give each their own version of how they met. It was consequential that laugh would flow aplenty as the banter was on both sides and this was just the start of a beautiful evening.
